Store Bought Paleo Ketchup

L has been bugging me for ketchup. She lived off the stuff for many years of her life. I stopped allowing ketchup into the house years ago because it had to much sugar for S to be able to handle. I found out it was junk and never looked back. Once I caved and bought sugar free ketchup - but really it was just more junk.

I have been keeping an eye on Paleo ketchup recipes. I have not yet found one that seemed worth the effort of making. After all they can always used mustard.

But this week we stopped by Ralph's (that would be Kroger for you east cost readers - and in some places King Soopers) to pick up some special items for my super picky eater. They have organic peanut butter, organic raisins, and pepperoni sticks (which are arguably the junkiest thing I feed her). Now if they would just go GMO free that would be amazing. As it is I see us frequenting Ralph's more often.

While we were wondering down the special food aisle I happened to notice ketchup made out of agave nectar. It is organic, gluten free, GMO free, and made with some spices, vinegar, agave nectar, and tomatoes. It actually qualifies as a vegetable - well for my picky eater at least.

L hugged the bottle the whole way through the store. I was paranoid that after spending five dollars on the bottle she would not even like it - I mean she will only eat ONE kind of peanut butter. When we got home we opened up the bottle of ketchup. Success. All three of them loved it. I was so excited I could not wait to share our find with you.
