Then I came across this post on carrot fries. For the most part the reviews were amazing. I had small hope that my children would even eat them. I put them off for a whole week, to the point were if I did not do something I would have to just throw out the carrots.
I finally broke down and just cooked them.
They were devoured. L asked for them to be included in her lunch box. When I explained we were out, we agreed to make them again tomorrow. They were devoured again. This time I had pulled some apart for lunch, which she reported she liked cold in her box.
J loved them also. S, not so much. However it is not the taste as much as she knew what I made them with and she is convinced she does not like any sort of cooked carrot. We have made these at least four times in the last two weeks. We also vacuumed sealed some and threw it in the freezer for later. Hopefully it turns out well.
We have used baby carrots as well as full carrots. They both worked equally well for us. Just make sure to cut them thin and not put on too much oil.
