Walmart's Site to Store

The other day I needed something. I could not find the item at Amazon - in truth my preferred shopping method - so I decided to try Walmart's site to store option.

The shipping was free and I could get the item the same day. I almost just waited to pick the item up at the store - but it was a school night and I needed to run in fast. I also was worried it would not be in stock.

I WILL NEVER DO THIS AGAIN!

The site to store is at the back of the store. So instead of picking up the item I needed, walking to the register, and walking out as fast as possible, we walked past the item to the back corner of the store. We walked back, could not find it, walked back up to the front to ask customer service where it was, and then walked back again. It was hidden in the corner with only a tiny sign.

There was a sign that said to push the credit card machine for help. I pushed it. . . and waited. The kids got restless and wondered to look at items. I tried to pull them back so they did not wonder away. Finally a gentlemen headed our way. Except a customer asked him a question and he stopped walking towards us and just left to help the other customer. By this point my kids started touching stuff - touching stuff is not good.

I was frustrated by the time a lady came back to the department. I was livid when the lady said she will help us in a bit and walked in the back section to do whatever it was she was in the middle of - which was not even for a waiting costumer.

Finally the gentleman came back. By this point L was jumping and I was impatient and livid. I tried to be nice, but it was apparent I was livid. A quick trip into Walmart was already at 45 minutes and we had been ignored twice! We were finally helped and walked back to the front of Walmart and were on our way.

Walmart is sensory overload for my kids. I try and avoid it. I thought I had found a solution to this problem, yet it only turned out to be even worse. Even if you discount the horrible customer service - site to store is not convenient. It is not disability friendly - and I will stick to Amazon.
