Eating out Paleo - Chick Fil A
Before I even post about the restaurant I do want to say that I really do not recommend eating at Chick Fil A. For years I thought the company had such a healthy focus on food that I was not harming my body on whole wheat bagels. When I first looked into paleo(ish) options for Chilk fil A I was optimistic. The fries and grilled chicken nuggets are both gluten free.
Except. . .
Nearly everything on the menu has MSG in it. Which is why I can not recommend it.
However, in a pinch it will work. Or in our case the birthday dinner of a picky nine year old. One who was sick of eating at In N Out. So we went.
Overal it was ok. We had a total splurge of fries and grilled chicken. I did buy some fruit for us to share. I even got the birthday girl a kids meal - complete with water to drink.
In truth, it did not taste all that great. Although I appreciated a night of not cooking, the food was just not good. Even J complained that the apple pieces 'burnt' his tongue.
L was not even thrilled. She had pictured the breaded glory of previous chicken nugget meals. She really was not a huge fan in the past, we seldom ate there.
I do wonder how this is going to effect our celebration of cow appreciation day.
