Give the Dog a Bone

L wants a puppy. I think that she would benefit from one. I have seen her play with her Aunt's dog to help her calm down. I like the idea of a service dog much better then her current schedule of medication. While her panic attacks are getting better she is still abundantly over the two a week classification for a sever panic disorder. Two in one week is a great week for us.

I have looked into a service dog. As much as I know she would benefit from one the thought of 15,000 is enough to cause me a panic attack. Add in the fight, and eventual eviction (yes I am aware that it would technically be illegal) from our no pets apartment, and there is eventually no service dog in our future.

So, she got a mechanical dog for Christmas. I admit her new found friend - floppy - is not in the slightest comparable to a service dog. But, you got to do what you got to do.

L has bonded, but the lack of true interaction does not really help L during a panic attack. Not that I truly had hope that it would.

However, it was fun going into a pet store to buy a bone for floppy. The look of the sales associate was priceless!
