Light and sleep
It is amazing how fast this strep throat thing is clearing up. I am officially on day three, and the swelling is gone, and the white spots are about half gone. Considering I am not resting nearly enough - single mom of three special kiddos - I think my body is doing awesome. Way better then in the past. I totally credit eating gluten for getting sick, and overall body health for getting better so fast. But, I'm not out of the woods yet. No, currently I am falling asleep at my desk.
I have actually gotten an amazing amount of work done today, and have a lot more left to do. However, I wanted to share with you a blog post that I found absolutely fascinating. It is written by Mark Rogers on the importance of light and sleep.
I think this is such an amazing concept, because of the difficulty many children with Autism have with sleep. I know all three of my children have a long history of abnormal sleep patterns. While I am a bit hesitant of the whole fire in my house thing, I do think that this would be interesting to look more into.
The blog post is titled Kids, Sleep and Light. It is posted on Everyday Paleo by guest author Mark Rogers.
