5 FREE Kindle books - Autism, bipolar, Eosinophilic, Autoimmune, and quarky fiction

It seems like a good day for some more free Kindle books. I think I have found some good ones, including a second novel by the author of Brains, Trains and Video Games, and a collection of works by autism bloggers. These are some books that you want to read, and are happy that they also happen to be free. As always check to make sure the price has not changed since I have posted. Happy Reading.

This Extraordinary Life

by Rachel S Quatkemeyer

This Extraordinary Life is a remarkable collection of literary magic written by a constellation of shining stars. They are autism parent bloggers, well-known poets and authors, people just like you, and some on the spectrum themselves, including one cute-as-a-button 6-year-old whose simple yet beautiful prose depicts his love for bacon, his family, and love for mixing colors. Contributors collectively illuminate a positive light on autism while uplifting readers with honesty, hope, and inspiration.

Foods, Moods & Isms: Living the Eosinophilic Life

by Alicia Hart

Foods, Moods & Isms: Living the Eosinophilic Life is the second book in a memoir series. Foods, Moods & Isms details the emotional, humorous, and often profoundly insightful journey of an everyday family raising a child with eosinophilic esophagitis, or EoE. This is a book about grocery stores full of food and tables full of empty plates. This is a book about being hungry for more than just a meal. This is a book about life with Ewan—a boy who sees life from a unique perspective and says all the things we never knew we needed to hear.

Alicia Hart, author of Brains, Trains & Video Games: Living The Autism Life, is a wife, mother, and advocate for children and adults with autism spectrum disorder. She has worked for various autism related agencies, early intervention programs, and universities, and has consulted with schools, hospitals, and other programs regarding autism spectrum disorders, eosinophilic disorders, feeding aversions, and augmentative and alternative communication.

Being Anti-Social

by Leigh K Cunningham

Mace Evans is single at thirty-eight. When her much unloved older sister, Shannon, declares that Mace is anti-social, she embarks on a journey to understand her condition; whether she was born that way or if it is the accumulation of thirty-eight years of unfortunate encounters with other humans and dogs.

For reasons unbeknown to Mace, she has an affair with a work colleague, which brings an unexpected end to her perfect marriage. And as if the self-imposed torture and regret is not enough, Mace endures ongoing judgment from her older sister and mother, which further exacerbates already tenuous relationships.

With support from her four best friends, merlot and pizza, and with guidance from her life coach and mentor, Oscar Wilde, Mace recovers to a degree, but in her quest to understand her anti-social ways, she finds herself wondering about the quality of the fabric that keeps her network of friends intact.

When Mace's mother is diagnosed with cancer, Mace searches for common ground on which to connect before it is too late.
